Chef Leonard Elias, CEC currently resides in Peachtree City, GA with his wife Anne, and his 2 sons Maxwell and Colin. Chef Elias joined what is now Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree in 1998 and has created the exceptional dining experience for which the property is known throughout the industry and amongst the corporations that utilize Dolce Atlanta-Peachtree.
A native New Yorker, Chef Elias is a 1980 AOS Culinary Arts graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, located in Hyde Park, New York. He also maintains certification as an Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation and is a certified Serve Safe Instructor. In order to maintain and enhance his expertise in the competitive field of culinary arts, Chef Elias continues his education on an ongoing basis through a variety of sources. These include continuing education credits through Cornell Distance Learning, The Culinary Institute of America and The American Culinary Federation.
Chef Elias is a life long hospitality professional and has held positions within some of America’s most respected organizations including The Sheraton Boston Hotel & Towers-Sheraton Corporation ITT, Harrison Conference Services, Flik International-Compass Group, Carbones of Hartford CT, Sun Valley Corporation-Sun Valley Idaho and many other well respected restaurants, country inns and resorts.
Throughout his career, Chef Elias has received an array of awards. He is the recipient of over 25 Industry Awards, Medals and Citations. Some of these most recent awards include the following:
- 2007 United States Chef of the Year, International Association of Conference Centers Copper Skillet Culinary Competition
- 2007 Atlanta Chefs and Cooks Association ACF Hot Food Competition, second place and silver medal.
